28 July 2021 ` 21:12

Based on April 2021 performance, OSB export from Russia to the USA reached unprecedented volumes – 9,568 m³ by volume and $4.53 million by value. As a result, the US share in the export structure of Russian OSB reached 18% in April 2021. It should be noted that this share was 8.5% in March 2021 and only 3% in September 2020, when the USA began active OSB imports from Russia.

On average, OSB was shipped to the USA at the price of 36,050 rubles/m³ (FOB, Saint Petersburg) in April 2021, which is 48.7% higher than a month earlier and twice as expensive as in September 2020. The top three exporters are: STOD (Torzhok) — 60%, Kronospan — 39%, Kalevala Woodworking Plant — 1%.
