Sveza increases the supply of plywood for LNG carriers to Korea
Sveza continues to increase production and sales of SVEZA Gas. It is the plywood intended for production of the insulating panels of the supertankers transporting the liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Sveza is currently the only company in Russia and one of the four plywood manufacturers in the world, certified for three systems of transportation and storage of liquefied natural gas: No 96, Mark III, Mark V.
”Sveza has been producing plywood for LNG tankers since 2016 and it has already established itself as a reliable and sustainable manufacturer on the world market. In addition to increasing production volumes, which we successfully cope with from year to year, we also strive to increase the share of specialized products for the needs of specific industries and customers. Now our customers, including in Korea and China, can order Sveza Gas plywood in a wide range of thicknesses from 6 to 92 millimeters,” said Svyatoslav Sarson, Marketing Director of Sveza.
The company also passed a comprehensive audit of leading Korean companies in the LNG segment, including Samsung Heavy Industries, Dongsung Finetec, Hankuk Carbon. The audit took place at the St. Petersburg plant of Sveza, which produces the bulk of the entire gas plywood produced by the company.
Unlike Samsung Heavy Industries and Hankuk Carbon, which are long-standing partners of Sveza, for Dongsung Finetec it was the first acquaintance with the world leader in the production of birch plywood, and it has grown into a partnership. Following the meeting, Dongsung representatives declared their readiness to cooperate, and here, at the plant, they discussed orders for 2019-2020.
