Structure of investment in the Russian forest-industry sector in 2019

Starting from 2017, investments in the logging industry have been declining for the third year in a row. In 2019, the decline was 12% (yoy). up to 13.47 billion rubles. If in the year of 2018 logging companies were the most attractive for investors in the Arkhangelsk region (4.08 billion rubles), then already in 2019 the Irkutsk region was a leader (4.1 billion rubles).

Investments in sawn timber production in 2019 increase (-25% yoy) to RUB 15.30 billion; financing for wood-based panel producers fell 23% (YoY) to RUB 27.04 billion; investments in the production of wood pulp, paper and paperboard increased by 16.9% (yoy) to 76.97 billion rubles.
