Södra buys sawmill and impregnation plant

8 April 2021 ` 18:10

Södra recently announced the acquisition of Ture Johanssons Trävaru and Tenhults Impregneringsverk. The sawmill in Klevshult and the pressure impregnation plant in Vaggeryd, each with an annual capacity of 100,000 m³, are intended to expand Södra’s offer for the Swedish construction industry.

Södra currently has six sawmills and two impregnation sites in Sweden. The newly acquired plants are located in an area in which Södra already has a stable supply of raw materials, but does not operate its own industrial operations.

The acquisitions will take effect immediately upon approval by the Swedish competition authority. This process is expected to take up to six weeks.
