1 February 2021 ` 16:46

Segezha Packaging SRL (Segezha Group, part of Sistema JSFC) has announced a major investment project to significantly enhance manufacturing operations and its capacity in Romania. This will include a new production facility and warehouse, modernization of the existing machinery and latest state-of-art production line.

The 2,880-square-meter facility completion is expected in October 2021 and will result in the production capacity increase of 65%. Aiming to expand its product portfolio with high-end segments, including industrial packaging for food ingredients, the new building will meet the highest quality and hygiene requirements.

The new state-of-art production line will be supplied by the leading machinery manufacturer Windmöller & Hölscher. The agreement for this was singed earlier this year. According to the project timeline, the new equipment to be delivered by the end of this year. Following the necessary tests and employee training, the production will start in March 2022.

The modernization of the existing equipment will also include relocation of the production machinery from another Segezha Packaging location. In addition to higher efficiency, this will positively affect the production output starting 2022.
