Segezha Group launches production of new plywood for South Korea
Vyatsky Plywood Mill (Kirov, part of Segezha Group) has started producing a new type of birch plywood under the Improved brand for the South Korean market, the company’s press service reported. The product was developed with local quality and aesthetic requirements in mind and is intended for use in interior design and furniture manufacturing.
Since 2022, Vyatsky Plywood Mill has been actively supplying products to East Asian markets and adapting them to customer needs. The enterprise plans to expand its export portfolio, including offering high-tech materials such as Segezha-LNG, used for lining LNG tanker reservoirs.
The company notes that the mill has received the “Made in Russia” certification and ranks fifth globally in birch plywood production. This year, its production capacity is loaded at 93–95% of its design output of 192,000 m³ per year.
