Russian Wood Resources Report 12-2022: restoration of the equilibrium on the roundwood market is postponed to Q1 2023

Preliminary results for 2022 show that the roundwood market gradually adapted to market needs updating the lowest ever figures of demand for unprocessed wood almost every month since Q2 2022.

During the entire year, the market of logs was undergoing fundamental changes: a strong decline in demand from Russian consumers, the closure of the European market to Russian exports, transport and logistics routes under reshaping, and the growing shortage of forestry equipment, machines, and spare parts.
