– Arkhangelsk LDK-3 sawmill (part of Titan Group, previously owned by RusForest) increased the production of wood pellets by 63% to 31,000 tonnes in the first half-year.
– Belarus has extended the licensing of imports of certain types of particleboard and fibreboard into the country.
– Solomensky sawmill started implementation of an investment project in the framework of the federal target programme, scheduled for completion in 2016. The company intends to lease additional forestland and increase the production of lumber up to 300,000 m3.
– Belarusian company Gomeldrev has started sales of laminated MDF of 2800 x 2070 mm format, 16 mm thick, and intends to expand the product range soon.
– At the site of Penovsky woodworking mill, pellet production has been launched recently.
– Igorevsky woodworking mill (Smolensk region) has been exempted from the payment of RUR 800 million of customs duties upon delivery of equipment for its MDF line.
