Russian Federal Forestry Agency reports about lower timber harvesting level

In 2019, the volume of timber harvesting decreased by 8.1% YoY to 219.2 million m³ (figures from Rosleskhoz). Statistic shows that all federal districts have reduced the harvesting of logs. Only eight Russian regions with level more 1 million m³ per year have increased their volume in 2019.

The regions which increased their timber harvest volume are the Vladimir region (+ 2.8% to 1.6 million m³), ​​Rep. Komi (+ 3.3% to 9.9 million m³), ​​Rep. Karelia (+ 6.3% to 7.7), Rep. Mari El (+ 6.2% to 1.1 million m³), ​​Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (+ 3.4% to 4.8 million m³), ​​Tomsk Region. (+ 3.3% to 6.5 million m³), ​​Novosibirsk region. (+ 3.5% to 1.2 million m³) and Yakutia (+ 56% to 1.5 million m³).
