Rosleskhoz: 11 investment projects on wooden housing construction are being implemented in the Northwestern Federal District
The greatest number of priority investment projects in the forest sector is concentrated in the Northwestern Federal District. Specifically, 11 of them are aimed at producing structures and materials for wooden housing construction, as reported by the press office of the Federal Forestry Agency (Rosleskhoz).
“Many timber enterprises of the Northwestern Federal District have already reoriented their product sales in the domestic market. For instance, priority investment projects in the forest sector in the Vologda (5), Arkhangelsk (1), and Novgorod (1) Regions, Karelia (1) and Komi (3) are aimed at creating and upgrading facilities that produce structures for wooden housing construction,” noted Alexey Abramov, Head of Administration of Federal State Forest Supervision at the Federal Forestry Agency (Rosleskhoz), at the round table held within the business program of the “21st Century Logger” Championship of Russia.
A total of 31 investment projects that produce elements for wooden housing construction are being implemented in 18 Russian regions.
Timber enterprises produce pre-fabricated house kits, windows, doors, CLT, glued laminated timber, and other structures. The total investment value is 42.5 billion rubles. The AAC provided to investors is 9.7 million m³.
