Roslesinforg: timber harvesting in Russia decreased by 12.7% in 10 months of 2022
According to Roslesinforg, in January-October 2022, the total volume of Russian timber harvesting decreased by 12.7% YoY to 149.1 million m³. Volumes decreased the most in the regions of the North-Western and Siberian Federal Districts — by about 20% to 40.84 million m³ and 45.4 million m³, respectively. The largest increase over the reporting period was recorded in Yakutia: +463,100 m³ to 1.34 million m³.
Leading regions are: the Irkutsk region (20.6 million m³), the Krasnoyarsk region (15.1 million m³), the Arkhangelsk region (11.34 million m³), the Vologda region (10.9 million m³) and the Komi Republic (7.3 million m³). Each of these regions recorded a decline from 7% to 20% YoY .
