Representatives of the Ilim Group at a meeting with Chinese partners spoke about their main investment projects to increase the volume of production of their own products

In Dalian (China) on January 11, a meeting of representatives of Ilim Group with packaging manufacturers of the North-Eastern region of Republic of China was held, according to the press center of JSC “Ilim Group”.

Speaking at the meeting, Timofey Sokolenko, Senior Vice President for sales and supply chain management of Ilim group, noted that the company has been operating in the Chinese market for 22 years.

“During this time, we have supplied more than 20 million tons of products to our Chinese partners. Ilim plans to increase the volume of deliveries to 2.4 million tons per year by 2023. Thanks to the large-scale investment program, the volume of production of the two largest Siberian plants “Ilim” will be increased by more than 1 million tons. The implementation of the investment program will not only increase production but also improve the quality of products“, – said Timofey Sokolenko.

In particular, the reconstruction of the cardboard flow at the plant in Bratsk will bring additional 100 thousand tons of cardboard per year, and the construction of a new pulp and cardboard plant in Ust-Ilimsk will give 600 thousand tons of packaging products per year.
