Over 9 months of 2024, furniture production in the Northwestern Federal District increased by 23% in monetary terms

In January–September 2024, enterprises from the Northwestern Federal District increased their furniture production by 23% YoY, up to 34.5 billion rubles, as reported by Kommersant referencing data by the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia.

Notably, the Northwestern Federal District is in the top three by furniture production (just like in the previous year), trailing only the Central (136.5 billion rubles) and Volga (121.1 billion rubles) Federal Districts.

According to the Association, production grew in the segments of kitchen furniture (from 4.4 to 5.4 billion rubles) and wooden furniture for bedrooms, dining rooms, and living rooms (from 1 to 3.5 billion rubles).
