Orsted stops buying wood pellets from Russia

The largest Danish energy company Orsted has announced a halt in purchases of Russian coal and biomass (including wood pellets) for its power plants.

In 2021, Denmark became the largest consumer with a market share of 39% of total Russian exports wood pellets, importing 957,000 tons ($113 million).
