Legal liquidation of Baykalsky PPM is completed

The multi-year process of liquidating Baykalsky PPM in Baykalsk is completed, according to the official web portal of legal information of the Irkutsk Region. The Regional Arbitration Court officially recognized the enterprise as liquidated.

The bankruptcy proceedings began in 2009. In June 2013, the mill’s shutdown was announced. The last batch of wood pulp was cooked there on September 13, 2013.

At the moment, 17 structures of the former pulp & paper mill are being demolished under the supervision of VEB.RF; this will be completed in 2024. Buildings suitable for investment projects are being repaired. A total of about 150 dilapidated buildings and structures are intended for demolition. An ECO.TSEKH campus was created on a part of the mill’s premises. By the end of 2024, VEB.RF will create a strategy of developing the territory of Baykalsky PPM’s former industrial site.
