Key topics of PAP-FOR 2014 forum announced
The arrangers of PAP-FOR RUSSIA 2014 business forum announced key topics of the conference, which will take place on 28-29 October 2014 at the exhibition center Expoforum (St. Petersburg) within the framework of the XIII International Exhibition PAP-FOR 2014.
This year, for the first time in the history of the project, program committee was organized, which included representatives of Association of Paper Industry Specialists, RAO Bumprom industry association, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and CBK magazine. Committee’s task was to identify the most topical issues in the industry and involve statesmen to the forum who can foster solving of painful issues of the industry.

Session 1: round table “Investment attractiveness of the domestic pulp and paper industry”
Session 2: “Newly adopted Forest policy and forest resources of Russia”
How will the new Forest policy and state’s course for intensification of forest management influence the industry? Why are lumbermen sure that forests are still sufficient in Russia, while environmentalists say the opposite? What actually is the cause to deficit of forest resources, according to state statistics and other sources? What changes in the legislation are necessary for the effective and sustainable development of the pulp and paper industry of Russia?
Session 3: “Bio-technologies”
The experience of the European companies, forecasts and world trends in the field of bio-technology. Projects of Russian companies.

Session 1: “New projects in the sector of packaging”
Successful Russian projects. Analysis of the current situation on the market. Trends of production and consumption.
Session 2: “New successful projects in the tissue industry”
The imbalance between production and demand in the sector of sanitary papers. Successful Russian projects. Trends in consumption.
Session 3: “Printing paper and graphic market”
The market of coated paper in Russia, the competitiveness of the domestic printing industry. What is happening with the printing market? Round table with the participation of publishers, printing houses, paper wholesalers, producers of newsprint, offset and LWC paper. Problems of the national newspaper giants and possible solutions. Other types of printing papers: market situation in UWF (office paper).
Session 4: “Staffing issues in the pulp and paper industry”
Attracting young specialists to the industry. The labour market in the pulp & paper industry: opportunities and prospects. Experience of companies in engagement, retention and development of personnel.
