The salary debt at Karelia DSP plant in Pindushi settlement has been paid in full, as reported by Artur Parfenchikov, Head of Karelia, on his VKontakte page.

“They are now preparing to upgrade the production site, implementing environmentally safe technologies. The new equipment is already delivered, its installation will begin shortly. The first stage of upgrading aimed at discontinuing the use of fuel oil will be completed as early as by July this year, according to the adopted plan. At the moment, 114 people work at the plant; it is planned to create 60 more jobs,” Head of Karelia wrote.

In 2020, the plant was about to close because of debts to energy providers; production was shut down. In early March 2020, the industrial complex was leased to Pindushi Woodworking Plant. Government of Karelia promised to help the company’s management solve the issue of raw material provisions.
