JSC “Lesosibirsk LDK №1” continues to update logging equipment

JSC ” Lesosibirsk LDK №1 “(Segezha Group, part of AFK” System”) continues to update logging equipment, according to a press release of Segezha Group. For the largest logging branch of the plant – Yartsevsky-in the framework of the investment program for the renewal of logging equipment purchased a new logger Caterpillar 320 world manufacturer of construction equipment. The cost of the loader is more than 12 million rubles.

The new equipment will be used for loading of sawlogs to timber carriers on the upper warehouse Zatonskogo benefit of site LLDC Yartsevo of branch No. 1 and further shipment of harvested timber to the mill.

In 2019, the company plans to purchase two more similar forest loaders. One will work in the same Yartsevsky branch, another – in Tagarinsky.

For the construction of the shift camp in the Shiver branch will also be purchased and installed seven modern shift heated trailers.
Own harvesting and transportation of raw materials in Segezha Group are provided by a fleet of modern high-tech forest machines, including harvesters, forwarders, skidders and other machines produced by world leaders in the production of logging and logging equipment: Ponsse, John Deere, IVECO, Volvo and Scania.

Most machines are equipped with on-Board computers or Autonomous computer-control modules based on microprocessors.
Segezha Group completed a three-year program to upgrade logging, logging, road, and auxiliary equipment in 2017. Nevertheless, the Park LZK and forest equipment continue to improve.

The total investment in the program amounted to more than 2.9 billion rubles. New modern technology helps to meet the growing needs of the processing enterprises of the company in the wood of its own harvesting. In three years, 448 units of high-tech equipment were purchased for the enterprises included in the company’s management circuit.

Of them on JSC “Lesosibirskiy LDK No. 1” was delivered 10 modern timber manufacturing company IVECO and six new Trucks for the remote harvesting sites. All cars were equipped with trailers and semi-trailers, a third of the cars are equipped with hydraulic manipulators.
At the end of 2018, the volume of logging by Segezha Group increased by 15% year-to-year and amounted to 4.5 million cubic meters of wood. The increase has become possible thanks to the modernization of the fleet of forest machines and increases the allowable cut of 1.1 million m3.
