Investment projects of Les-Export and Sibirles being Implemented in the Tomsk region are included in the list of priority ones in the forest sector

Les-Export company is creating a harvesting infrastructure in Aleksandrovsky and Kargasoksky districts along with the facilities for integrated wood processing in the village of Krasny Yar. The project is expected to be implemented before 2024, investments will amount to 1 billion rubles. The project of Sibirles company is being implemented in Zyryansky district. The enterprise is expanding its facilities for the production of veneer and furniture components. The project cost is 500 million rubles.

The second project with the participation of Sibirles will be implemented in Zyryansky district. The company has been implementing its project for harvesting timber and producing veneer for Swedish IKEA, including for the furniture factory in China, since 2015. It is currently expanding its production facilities. In the next 12 months, the company will invest another 500 million rubles. The investor is Sunyuan, a Chinese company that has already invested over $15 million in the development of Sibirles’s production. It is planned to increase the value of investments to $30 million by 2023 (for the expansion of harvesting capacities, purchases of equipment and machinery).

In 2017, Sibirles produced 7,000 m3 of veneer and 30,000 m3 of sawn timber. The output of sawn timber will grow to 40,500 m3 per year in the next 3 years, of veneer – to 58,400 m3 per year, of furniture components – to 23,100 m3 per year, of wood pellets – to 61,200 tons per year, of charcoal – to 13,800 m3 per year.
