In Poland, Egger launched the 19th plant with a capacity of 650 thousand cubic meters of chipboard per year
June 28, 2019 in the Polish town of Biskupiec plant for the production of chipboards and laminated chipboards has been launched that will allow to substitute imports of particleboard in Poland, one of the largest countries-manufacturers of furniture in the world.
The plant was designed and built in accordance with the principles of the Best Available Techniques, formed in the Directive of the European Union.
The investment amounted to about €440 million. 400 jobs were created directly for the employees of the enterprise and 600 – for the personnel of third parties.
“We started working in Poland in the early 90s of the last century and successfully cooperate with more than 150 customers operating in the local market,” said Michael Egger, who owns the Egger Group of companies together with his brother Fritz Egger.
