Ilim Group supplied 1.7 million tons of products to China in 2022

Wood pulp accounted for 1.359 million tons (+10% YoY) and cardboard, for 360,000 tons (+56% YoY) out of 1.7 million tons of finished products. The total volume of Ilim’s supplies to China increased by 266,000 tons in 2022. 50% of these products are cardboard, fluting paper, and unbleached wood pulp from the plant in Koryazhma, which were redirected to PRC from other markets.

By 2025, Ilim Group is planning to increase its export to China to 2.4 million tons. Products from the new pulp-and-cardboard mill in Ust-Ilimsk will account for the greatest share of supply growth. This production venue will be commissioned in less than half a year. It will produce wood-free kraftliner. The company has already signed 10 agreements with Chinese partners for the entire output volume of the pulp-and-cardboard mill for the term of three years.
