In 2024, Ilim Group is planning to increase its product shipments to China to 2.4 million t

By the end of 2024, Ilim Group intends to supply up to 550,000 t of premium cardboard (wood-free kraftliner) to the PRC market, as reported by TASS referencing Alexey Lomko, the Group’s CEO.

In 2023, Ilim Group’s export to China rose to 2.1 million t. In 2024, the Group is planning to ramp up its shipments to the PRC to 2.4 million t, with cardboard accounting for 850,000 t out of it, which is twice as much as in 2023. About 300,000 t of cardboard will be shipped to the Chinese market from the operating enterprise in Bratsk, while the pulp-and-cardboard mill in Ust-Ilimsk will ship 500,000 – 550,000 t of cardboard.

Alexey Lomko noted that Ilim Group is already the largest international supplier of premium wood-free cardboard to China, the second largest supplier of unbleached softwood pulp, and the third largest supplier of bleached softwood pulp.
