Harvesting enterprises from the Nizhny Novgorod Region will be granted a deferral of rent payments for forest areas

The Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region approved the decree on deferring the rent payments for timber harvesting areas.

The deferral applies to parts of the payments exceeding the minimum rent amount. This respite is provided for up to three months within a reporting quarter; the deferred due amount shall be paid in instalments or by a lump sum by the fifth day of the month following the reporting quarter.

Leaseholders whose rent payments are not being enforced through a court ruling and those with no overdue forest rent payments are eligible for the deferral. The forest area may not be subleased to third parties.
