Forest auctions in the Republic of Khakassia joined the national treasury on 9 million roubles

According to the Federal forestry Agency, the auction for the right of conclusion of the contract of sale of forest plantations for small and medium enterprises was held in the Ministry of environment of the Republic of Khakassia.

As a result of the auction contracts of purchase and sale of forest plantations with legal entities, heads of peasant farms and individual entrepreneurs were concluded. They will conduct felling on the territory of Abaza, Bay, Selenskogo, Sayanogorsk, Goryachegorsk forestry. The total volume of harvesting for six cutting areas is about 12 thousand cubic meters of wood. As a result of these trades, the budget system received 3.4 million rubles.

“Holding of auctions for small and medium – sized businesses is a point of growth for the development of the timber industry in the country. Sustainable forest management not only contributes to the economic development of the region, but also has environmental feasibility. Under the cutting area are highlighted in the areas of Mature and overmature stands, which may be a potential source of disease, foci of pests and cause forest fires” – said the acting Minister of natural resources and environment of Khakassia Republic Yegor Karakotov.

This year, the work to attract loggers in Khakassia has been strengthened. Budget revenues have also increased: if in 2017 the Republican Treasury received about 5 million from forest auctions, in 2018 – more than 9 million rubles. Felling after felling necessarily created new forests. The annual volume of forest restoration in Khakassia is almost twice the volume of deforestation.
