FESCO launched a maritime container line from Vladivostok to Bangladesh

The maritime route includes through transportation of cargo from the Commercial Port of Vladivostok (part of FESCO) to Bangladesh, with transshipment in the Port of Shanghai (PRC), and back.

The estimated transit time for import and export shipments is 28 days. Vessels will run by this route once a week from the Port of Chattogram (Bangladesh), where FESCO has created an in-house container fleet in advance. The planned transportation volume is around 200 TEU per month.

Consumer goods, including clothes, fabrics, and other textile items, will account for most of the cargo traffic from Bangladesh. Sawn timber and timber products, as well as chemical cargos will be shipped from Vladivostok. The first vessel with FESCO containers entered the Port of Chattogram on October 30.
