Federation Council suggested introducing prohibitive duties on furniture and paper from unfriendly countries

The Federation Council suggests that the Cabinet of Ministers introduce prohibitive import duties on several types of furniture, paper, and packaging from unfriendly countries, says a draft resolution of the Council on Forest Sector Development Issues of the Russian Federation of the Federation Council, RIA Novosti reports.

“We recommend the Government of the Russian Federation to accelerate the adoption of measures aimed at: introducing additional or prohibitive import customs duties on timber and paper products from “unfriendly” countries (certain types of furniture, paper, and packaging) to develop the domestic market”, says the document whose text is at the disposal of the information agency.
