Cherepovets Plywood and Furniture Mill and VLP Group have completed a major investment project on building a plywood mill in the Vologda region

On September 22, 2023, Plitwood officially started producing large-sized plywood at a facility with a production area of 45,000 m² in Vokhtoga settlement, Vologda Region, with a capacity of 180,000 m³ per year. As reported in the company’s press release, this enterprise is the largest plywood production site built by the Greenfield concept in modern-day Russia. It will produce a wide range of products, including rare, exclusive formats.

Plitwood was founded by Cherepovets Plywood and Furniture Mill and VLP Group. 12.5 billion rubles was invested in this project, 490 million out of which was provided by the Industrial Development Fund as a subsidized loan under the “Development Projects” program.
