At the meeting with the head of the Federal Forestry Agency Ivan Valentik Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksei Pesoshin said: “the Development of forestry is one of the priorities for Tatarstan”

Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin on February 08, 2019 took part in the meeting “Efficiency of execution of the delegated powers of the Russian Federation in the field of forest relations by the subjects of the Volga Federal district: results of 2018 and tasks for 2019”.

The event was held in the Kazan city Hall. The meeting was held by Deputy Minister of natural resources and ecology of Russia – head of Federal forestry Agency Ivan Valentik. We will remind that Ivan Valentine is located in Kazan with a working visit. Prior to the meeting, the head of the Federal Forestry Agency visited fire-chemical station of the III type in one of the districts of the Republic, met with representatives of the teams of the forestry and forestry. Also, Ivan Valentik met the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, to discuss issues of cooperation in the sphere of effective use of forest resources and the modernization of the industry.

During the meeting, Ivan Valentik noted positive changes in the field of forest protection.

“Forest conservation has become a full-fledged Federal project in the framework of the national project “Ecology”, – said the head of the Federal Forestry Agency. –”With funding of 150 billion rubles, this is a large Federal project.”

Ivan Valentik also reminded that the Federal budget in the structure of expenditures provides for the first time renewal of the Park of forest fire equipment and forestry equipment – this amount is about 22 billion rubles:

“These funds will be received in the order of distribution to the budgets of the subjects as subventions. The subjects themselves will determine the list of equipment and machinery that must be purchased in order to perform their duties with the highest quality.”

Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin, speaking with a welcoming speech to the participants of the meeting, said:

“The development of forestry is one of the priorities for Tatarstan. The main responsibility for this direction is assigned to the Ministry of Forestry in the Republic. Thanks to effective cooperation with the Federal authorities, almost all the planned plans in the field of forestry have been implemented. Forest fires are not allowed in the Republic for the eighth year in a row, this is a good result. Arsenal of equipment for the protection of forests from fires and organizational measures for the prevention of forest fires has proved its efficiency”.

The Prime Minister also reminded that in 2018 the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan fully implemented a set of measures for the protection, reproduction, and protection of forests within the framework of the state task.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement on cooperation in the field of forest relations between the Federal Forestry Agency and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan was signed. Signatures under the document have put the head of the Federal Forestry Agency Ivan Valentik and head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin.
