At the end of 2018 in the Ulyanovsk region products in wood processing sold at 4.7 billion rubles

According to the head of the region Sergey Morozov, the forest industry consistently holds high rates. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of nature and cyclical economy of the Ulyanovsk region. In 2018, the volume of shipped products in wood processing and production of wood products amounted to 4.7 billion rubles or 103% of the previous period. Taxes from the forest industry in the budget of the Ulyanovsk region received more than 235.5 million rubles, which is 10% higher than last year.

“Today, one of the priority tasks is to work out the possibility of increasing the level of the average monthly salary of employees of the industry. Now it is 18,864 rubles, the growth rate is 110%. However, the average salary level in the industry is lower than the regional average. Our task is to take measures to improve it, including by removing it from the gray zone. It is also necessary to build a system of measures to support young professionals”, – said Sergey Morozov.

The program “forest Conservation” included in the national project “Ecology” is implemented in the region. One of its directions is the modernization of the material and technical base of state institutions, equipping them with specialized forestry equipment and equipment. For 2019, funding in the amount of 34.4 million rubles was allocated, which will allow to complete the forest fire formations and create two more fire-chemical stations in the Novocheremshansky and Pavlovsk forest areas.

“One of the priority tasks in 2018 was the implementation of the authority to develop, approve forestry regulations and forest plan of the Ulyanovsk region. The Governor’s decree approved a new thematic document for the period from January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2028, inclusive. In addition, the Ministry carried out work on amendments to the lease agreement of forest areas, through the conclusion of additional agreements to bring the volume of forest use in accordance with forestry regulations. In the plans for 2019, the Ministry of natural resources has a task to provide an index of industrial production in wood processing and production of wood products not less than 100%. Our main goal is to make the industry attractive for investment, to form a sustainable forest industry complex with a full production cycle from timber harvesting to the production of deep processing products”, – said the Minister of nature and cyclical economy Dmitry Fedorov.

In 2019, five regions of the Russian Federation will host the national forest forum, its final event will be held in Moscow. The Governor instructed the Ministry of natural resources of the region to take part in the project, to discuss problematic issues of the forest industry and ways to solve them. In addition, this year the regional forest forum is to be held, several municipalities will become its sites.
