Arkhbum Tissue Group launches second phase of hygiene products plant
LLC Arkhbum Tissue Group (a subsidiary of JSC Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill) has commissioned the second phase of its tissue products manufacturing plant in the Kaluga Region, doubling its annual production capacity to 140,000 tons, according to the company’s press service. The investment in the expansion amounted to RUB 12.5 billion.
The new production capacities were fully operational by the end of 2024, enabling the company to increase its output by 1.5 times year-over-year in Q1 2025. This includes parent rolls, finished hygiene products under the company’s own Soffione brand, and other tissue-based goods. Revenue for the first quarter of 2025 rose by 45% year-over-year, reaching RUB 3.6 billion.
The company reports that over 90% of its products are sold on the domestic market.
Arkhbum Tissue Group also plans to expand its capacity by an additional 70,000 tons per year through a new investment project scheduled for completion by 2028. The planned investment for this phase is RUB 7.2 billion.
Total investment in the plant’s construction is projected to reach approximately RUB 30 billion. Upon completion of all development stages, the facility’s annual output of finished products is expected to reach 210,000 tons.
