Arkhangelsk PPM once again proved its high climate resilience rating according to CDP scoring
Arkhangelsk PPM, JSC once again proved its high climate resilience rating according to CDP scoring (an international project on the disclosure of greenhouse gas emissions).
On the basis of independent evaluation of the submitted report, APPM got a “C” score that corresponds to the world average.
According to Mikhail Yulkin, Head of the Working Group on Climate Change of the Natural Resource Management and Environment Committee, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and Head of the Center of Environmental Investments (INPO “CEI”), there are only four companies with such a score in Russia. APPM is among them. With that, the mill is the only Russian timber company that is included in CDP scoring. Moreover, this is the fifth year in a row.
Mikhail Yulkin noted that the requirements to companies are raised every year: “The current priority is not only analysis of carbon footprint but also assessment of climatic risks and their management”.
