Roslesinforg implements digital methods of forest taxation

According to the press service, here was a working meeting of the Director of Roslesinforg Igor Murayev and representatives of Space technologies and services center to discuss cooperation in the field of digitalization of logging and the introduction of modern methods of surveying and processing of spatial data.

Director of the Center Abert Vasiliev and his Deputy Alexander Kedrov presented modern methods of taxation using air laser scanning data and experience of their application in the Perm region and the Arkhangelsk region.

As noted by Igor Muraev, Director of Roslesinforg: “The institution is interested in using modern methods of organizing logging operations, which allow processing data with high accuracy, quickly and quality on large areas. Roslesinforg is testing the application of data obtained by lidar survey and aerial photography.”
