A woodworking enterprise worth 3 billion rubles will open in the Krasnoyarsk Region
There are plans to launch production of sawn timber, wood briquettes, and charcoal briquettes in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Region, as reported by the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation. The investment will reach 3 billion rubles. The investor’s name is not disclosed, but Kommersant Sibir reports that this is Kizirlesprom, a company from Krasnoyarsk. Besides the woodworking production site, the project includes harvesting 200,000 m³ of timber per year in-house.
Harvesting is supposed to begin in Q4 2024. Reaching the full design capacity of sawn timber and wood briquettes output is scheduled for H1 2028; the capacity of charcoal briquettes output, for Q4 2029.
All sawn timber output (about 228,000 m³ per year) will be exported, while wood briquettes (approximately 20,000 t) and charcoal briquettes (about 3,000 t) will be sold in the domestic market.
