A sawn timber production project by Kizirlesprom worth over 3 billion rubles was recognized as a priority project

In March 2023, Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation announced the launch of a major investment project on sawn timber production in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Region. In January 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade included this project implemented by Kizirlesprom and worth over 3 billion rubles in the list of priority investment projects.

The company will create a sawn timber production venue with the capacity of 228,000 m³ per year, all of which it is planning to export, and also make wood briquettes (about 20,000 t per year) and charcoal briquettes (2,900 t per year) for the domestic market.

According to the investment project implementation plan, timber harvesting is expected to begin in Q4 2024 (the project involves using an in-house harvesting enterprise providing 200,000 m³ per year), while the full design capacity for sawn timber and wood briquettes production is supposed to be achieved in H1 2028. For charcoal briquettes, this date is Q4 2029.
