By 2025 Naberezhnochelninsky Cardboard and Paper Mill will start production of a new product – white toilet paper made of cellulose

The project was included in the enterprise development program until 2025. According to the portal of entrepreneurs Chelny-biz.ru General Director of the plant Andrey Fomichev, that negotiations are already underway on the choice of technology:

“We are well aware that the mentality of buyers will change, the demand will be white paper. This will come with time, when the profitability and solvency of the population will grow. And the consumer will be ready to pay more for 18 m of white toilet paper from cellulose, than for 50 m of toilet paper from waste paper. With the implementation of the new program of development of the enterprise, which is developed until 2025, we plan to produce white two – and three-layer toilet paper from primary cellulose. The new project will work in parallel with the production of our single-layer products”.

The plant is one of the ten largest enterprises of the pulp and paper industry in Russia, among the 50 main taxpayers of the Republic of Tatarstan. It is the second budget-forming enterprise of Naberezhnye Chelny. Every year, the plant directs 60% of its net profit for modernization and purchase of new equipment. In Russia the enterprise occupies 7% of the market of corrugated boxes and 15% of the market of toilet paper.
