Taiga Boguchany LLC is planning to identify the key physical volumes of the biotechnology complex construction and make an investment decision by December 2024, as reported by Kommersant. According to Interfax, the plant’s potential capacity has now increased by 20%.

The project implementation schedule has also been adjusted: the plant will be commissioned a year earlier, in October 2029 instead of October 2030, as previously announced.

The volume of sulfate softwood pulp at this biotechnology complex is thus supposed to reach 1.2 million t per year, with a capability of switching to production of dissolving softwood pulp. The previous plan was to make 1 million t of product per year.
