Large timber enterprises of the Tomsk Region are suspending production

Problems with export from the Tomsk Region to Asian countries force large local companies to suspend production, says Andrey Knorr, Vice Governor of the region.

According to him, the region’s timber enterprises are putting their investment projects on hold. Specifically, projects by Monolit-Stroy LLC (Latat plant) producing urea formaldehyde concentrate (UFC) and birch plywood were suspended.

Tomlesdrev also shut down one of the two lines producing particleboard because its warehouses are full. A sawmilling plant at Asinovsky LPK is also temporarily idling.
