An OSB plant with a capacity of 250,000 m³ per year to open near Tomsk by the end of 2021

Monolit-Stroy LLC will put into operation a new OSB production facility near Tomsk at the end of 2021. Investments in the project will amount to 5 billion rubles, the capacity will be 250,000 m³ per year. The first OSB is scheduled to be manufactured at the end of 2021. It is scheduled to bring the plant to its design capacity in May 2022.

In 2017, Monolit-Stroy LLC acquired the assets of bankrupt Partner-Tomsk LPK. The company bought the existing MDF production and lamination lines, a group of buildings and warehouses, as well as some assets for timber harvesting.  According to Daniil Ryabchenko, General Director of Monolit-Stroy LLC, the output of MDF, a traditional product for the enterprise, will amount to about 330,000 m³ in 2021.

According to WhatWood’s estimates, the capacity of the Russian OSB market is about 1.4 million m³ per year.
