Kronospan created an MDF production facility costing more than 15 billion rubles in the Kaluga Region

The new plant by Kronospan Kaluga is built on the premises of Kaluga Special Economic Zone. The venue is going to produce at least 600,000 m³ of fiberboards (MDF and HDF) per year. Investments in the project exceeded 15 billion rubles.

Vladimir Shapsha, Governor of the Kaluga Region, explained on his VKontakte page that this was the starting step of Kronospan’s large investment project in the region. The investment value of the projects already in the pipeline will exceed 30.5 billion rubles. About 500 new jobs will be created. Two more production sites are already under construction.

Peter Kindl, Director of Kronospan Holdings East Limited, declared at the opening ceremony of the new plant that the company will start producing decorative paper and particleboard on the same venue in 2022.
