Vologodsky Les is planning to invest 3.5 billion rubles in expanding its woodworking facilities
Vologodsky Les intends to invest 3.5 billion rubles in upgrading its plywood production site and creating new timber processing facilities, as reported by the official web portal of the Government of the Vologda Region. The investment project received a priority status.
These funds will be spent to increase the annual plywood production capacity to 120,000 m³ (60,000 m³ of square plywood and 60,000 m³ of large-sized plywood), and also to create facilities producing OSB with the capacity of 120,000 m³ per year, glued wooden structures (45,000 m³ per year) and wood pellets (50,000 tons per year).
According to WhatWood, Vologodsky Les produced 10,000 m³ of plywood in 2020 with the current plywood production capacity of 36,000 m³. The enterprise started operations in November 2019. Besides square plywood, it produces sawn timber, moldings, RUF wood briquettes and charcoal.
