Smurfit Kappa St.-Petersburg JSC has received the award of the Quality Award-2018 for the high quality of products

The Quality Award is an award of the Smurfit Kappa Group, awarded to productions that have reached the PPM 500 level during the year. The PPM metric (Parts Per Million) indicates the number of defective samples in relation to the million manufactured and reflects the effectiveness of marriage control and quality management in the production as a whole.

Production of Smurfit Kappa in Vsevolozhsk (Leningrad region) in 2018 reached the result of PPM348 and entered the top 30 best enterprises of the Group in terms of quality of products. Compared to 2017, this figure was improved by 52%, demonstrating a consistently high quality of products. In total, in 2018, the quality Award was awarded to 41 plants Of the Smurfit Kappa group from about 250 corrugated cardboard productions in Europe.
