Lithuanian VMG to build another woodworking complex in Belarus

Lithuanian company VMG is going to build another woodworking complex in Belarus, as Belta agency reported quoting head of the VMG board Sigitas Paulauskas.

On July 10, Mogilev special economic zone saw opening ceremony of the complex which includes particleboard, cabinet furniture and plywood capacities of VMG Industry and SBA’s Mebelain mill.

As Paulauskas said at the ceremony, corporate strategy entails construction of another woodworking complex which will produce goods for IKEA. New capacities will be probably located at the same Mogilev special economic zone. Investment scope of the project is around €80 million. The company will present mill project in 2014.

VMG owns seven enterprises, of which three are abroad: Wood Industry in Ukraine, LogDrev and VMG Industry in Belarus.
