Wood pellets production will be opened in the Nizhny Novgorod region

Ros Group of Companies began construction of a plant for the production of wood pellets in May 2020, the press service of the regional government reports, citing First Deputy Governor Yevgeny Lyulin.

The production capacity will be 36.000 tons per year. The launch of the first line is planned in the fall of 2020, and two more at the end of the year. According to the management, pellets will be made from wood waste produced by local plywood factories.

It is planned to send the bulk of the products for export to the Nordic countries, including Denmark, Belgium, Norway.
