Vladimir Putin proposed to additionally allocate at least 15 billion rubles to support municipal boiler houses in switching to biofuel
At the meeting on the development of the timber industry, the President of the Russian Federation proposed to additionally allocate at least 15 billion rubles in publicly funded infrastructure loans to support municipal boiler houses in switching to wood pellets in the next two years.
“We do have a source for allocating these additional 15 billion rubles, the Ministry of Finance knows about it. We talked about such possibilities and discussed them, and I request you to use this source. It concerns those cases when such a transition is economically justified and expedient, of course,” the Russian President said.
Vladimir Putin emphasized the importance of fixing long-term conditions of supplies, which will ensure stable purchase prices for housing and utilities companies as well as stable sales for biofuel producers. The President also suggested that support measures for domestic producers of boiler equipment be considered, including providing subsidies for sales discounts.
