The number of users on the system LesEGAIS increased by 40 %

According to the press service of the Federal Forestry Agency reports,as of 31.12.2018 in the accounting system of transactions with timber Lesegais registered 126.2 thousand users, including 7.8 thousand employees of regulatory and law enforcement agencies (at the end of 2017 registered 89.7 thousand users and an increase of 36.5 thousand, or 40.7 %).

The system stores more than 6.9 million legal and accounting documents on the use of forests, information on 1.9 million transactions for the purchase and sale of wood. According to LesEGAIS, the volume of harvesting for 2018 amounted to 233.8 million m3 against 214.6 million m3 in 2017 (an increase of 19.2 million m3, or 9 %).

To export from the Russian Federation in 2018, LesEGAIS included information about 769 867 individually tagged logs of oak, beech, and ash, belonging to valuable species of trees. In 2017, their number was 783 234 units, as of February 15, 2019 – 101 633 logs.

In order to gain control over its transactions in November 2018 was developed and approved the algorithm for the system of interdepartmental electronic interaction (SMEV) for the use of information from LesEGAIS. Such sending of data from LesEGAIS in the automatic mode is very necessary to Federal customs service, Federal tax service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. Since January 23, 2019, the provision of information from Lesegais for effective control over the origin of wood in the Russian Federation has become automated for all interested in these data control agencies.

In 2019 forest authorities возбуждено1006 administrative Affairs, including officials of forest departments in the Federal districts – 955. Fines were imposed on protocols on administrative offenses drawn up by officials of Rosleskhoz and forestry departments in Federal districts – 14 038 thousand rubles.

Priorities for 2019: the approval of the bill on the transition to the electronic accompanying document; introduction of control and accounting of work of points of reception and shipment (storage) of wood; increased use of LesEGAIS together with the Federal agencies concerned.
