The new press of German Kahl was installed at the pellet plant of the Ustyansky timber industry complex

ULK Group of companies has been cooperating with Kahl for several years, which is engaged in the supply of equipment for pellet plants in many countries. The installation of additional equipment will allow the timber industry to increase production in the future.

– The installation of the equipment was carried out by Sever MN, and the installation of electricians and some elements performed on their own. To control all stages of the start-up of new equipment from Germany, specialists were involved, who were independently engaged in debugging the press, configuring the software and checking it. The installation of an additional press will allow the pellet plant to increase the volume of products, – said Ivan Petrov, head of the pellet plant and the forest selection and seed center.

In March 2018, the ULK Group of companies opened and put into operation a pellet plant that produces fuel pellets from sawmill waste. The capacity of the plant is 150,000 tons of products per year.  A year ago, the production of pellets was a completely new experience for the Ustyansky LPK, but now the ULK group is taking measures to increase production volumes.
