The largest enterprise for the production of cellulose could be visited in a few minutes
In St. Petersburg the international exhibition Pap-For continues to work. Pap-For is the largest event of the pulp and paper industry in Eastern Europe.
At the stands manufacturers of equipment and materials present cutting-edge innovations in the pulp and paper industry to the visitors.
In a few minutes Andritz offers each guest to get around the largest pulp mill in the world. A visitor puts a virtual reality helmet on his head and immediately gets to the production of the Brazilian plant Fibria.
The eucalyptus pulp mill is located in Tres Lagoas. And after starting the Horizonte 2 line in August 2017, it produces more than 3.25 million tons of pulp per year, which is higher than the annual output of other existing pulp mills in the world.
The specialists of Andritz and Fibria worked as one team on the implementation of the Horizonte 2 project. The scope of delivery of Andritz included equipment for the wood-preparation site, as well as a line for the production of hardwood pulp, two lines for drying cellulose, evaporation station, soda recovery boiler, white liquor plant with a single-line caustic plant, two furnaces for lime firing, potassium and chlorine removal systems, a plant for the production of liquid methanol for biofuel production.
