Swiss pellet prices show an upward trend in August 2020

The pellet prices in Switzerland are rising more clearly in August 2020. On average, they reached a value of CHF 350.4 / t (+ 1.9%) as compared to July 2020. The ups and downs that began in May are now continuing in favor of manufacturers. After an increase of 0.9% to 347.2 CHF / t in June, followed by a minus of 0.9% in July to an average price of 344 CHF / t, now the prices are clearly lower as compared to August 2019 (-2.2%), down to (358.4 CHF / t). Depending on the purchase quantity, the individual prices developed as follows:

3 t: 362.4 CHF / t (+ 2.1% compared to 07/2020, -2.3% compared to 08/2019);

5 t: 348.38 CHF / t (+ 1.8% compared to 07/2020, -2.7% compared to 08/2019);

8 t: 340.33 CHF / t (+ 1.6% compared to 07/2020, -1.7% compared to 08/2019);

17 t: 326.96 CHF / t (+ 0.8% compared to 07/2020, -1.8% compared to 08/2019).
