Solomensky Sawmill LLC will increase sawn timber output by 30%

This is reported by the official web portal of Karelia. The investment will reach 2.5 billion rubles. This project is on the list of priority investment projects in the forest sector. It involves upgrading sawmilling assets and increasing sawn timber output by 30%, as well as building a new plant producing 120,000 tons of wood pellets per year.

In September 2021, Solomensky Sawmill LLC is planning to install pelleting equipment, while the delivery of sawmilling equipment for restoration is expected at the end of 2022.

The company is planning to get a lease on forest areas of 71,000 ha to implement this project, with the annual forest use volume of 170,000 m³.

According to WhatWood data, the production capacity of Solomensky Sawmill was 300,000 m³ of sawn timber per year in 2020, with 65% equipment loading.
