Segezha Group to take part in LesEGAIS experiment

According to the agreement with Roslesinforg, Segezha Group will participate in the modernization and testing of LesEGAIS (Unified State Automated Information System for Timber Accounting and Transactions Therewith) in Vologda.

When the experiment is finished, it is expected that LesEGAIS will provide reliable accounting of timber and become the base for a transparent mechanism of interaction between the government and enterprises.

Roslesinforg forecasts that the transparency of the timber supply chains enhanced thanks to LesEGAIS will make up to 30% of the timber market come out of the shadow.

The main goal of modernizing LesEGAIS is to synchronize documentation and the real state of affairs in the field – at felling sites, roads, warehouses, enterprises, on the state border. Besides that, the document flow will become completely electronic.
